Learning to Love is an MHA fanzine in which we explore how Shouto learns to navigate the different types of relationships he has. From Familial, to Platonic, to Romantic, we want to explore how Shouto learns to interact and learns how to show all the love we know he has.

What is a 'Zine'?

A Zine is a collection of original works (ex. Writing, Art Illustration, Merch Items) that are all based around the same theme, topic, or idea.

What kind of content will be in this Zine?

This zine is a pro-ship zine that will be exploring Shouto Todoroki and how he learns to navigate the different types of relationships in his life. We plan on exploring Familial relationships, Platonic Friendships, and Romantic relationships through this process, and in the end, our goal is to create a SFW zine with a NSFW add on.Dead Dove content will not be part of this zine. And the Mods are currently discussing a tag list to draw the line where this is for our project. This is not a reflection of our opinions on dead dove content, it is simply something we don't have the means to create for with this project.

How are we accepting contributors?

For this zine we will be inviting guests (based on suggestions within the interest check), as well as having an application process to accept Writing, Page Art, and Merch Art contributors.

How many contributors will we be accepting?

We plan on Having a total of 25 contributors.10 Writers
10 Page Artists and
5 Merch Artists

Who can apply?

Our applications are open to anyone 18+ regardless of any previous zine or event experience. We actively encourgage first time zine goers to apply! We only ask that if you are accepted as a contributor, you follow the discord rules and act with general respect toward everyone involved within this project.

In the event we are given the opportunity to create a zine for purchase, we as a team have decided that any profits we make will be donated to a charity that will be voted upon by the mods from suggested charities in the interest check.

Contributor Application Guidelines!

General Application Guidelines

>All contributors will be expected to join the zine Discord as this will be our sole communication method throughout the creation process.>All Contributors are expected to act with respect toward the mod team and other contributors alike regardless of ship preference, opinions, etc.>All Contributors will be expected to follow Discord’s Terms of Service.>All Contributors will be expected to adhere to the creation timeline, including monthly check ins for the months of August-November. And will be expected to communicate if extensions are needed for check ins. We understand life happens, but communication is Vital.

Applicants must be 18+ by the end of the application periodAll submissions should be in Google Drive with viewer accessTo allow for as much fairness as possible, we ask that each applicant:>>No usernames/pseudonyms within Google Drive file names (Writers)>>Omit any watermark that identifies username/account (Artists)>>Artists, we absolutely understand the importance and necessity to protect your work. We as a mod team will NOT use your submission for anything outside of simply looking through applications.
